As a marketplace admin, onboarding vendors might include importing all their existing products from another platform. You can use the built-in WooCommerce Product import tool to bulk import a vendor’s products. You can easily Import/Export vendor products with WC Vendors.
To bulk assign products on import you will need the following
- The vendor_id of the vendor. This is their user ID. This is available on the User Edit screen when viewing the vendor role.
- WooCommerce formatted products CSV. (If you export from your existing install, then the vendor id column will already be added
Add the products to the CSV like you would normally do for a WooCommerce Product import. However, now you would add the vendor_id to the Vendor ID column.
This will be auto-detected by the import and assign any product to the vendor ID listed.
Vendor
WC Vendors Pro 1.8.0 introduced the ability for vendors to be able to import and export their products from their dashboard. To allow vendors to import and export products you must first enable the setting in the WordPress Admin.
Enable Vendor Product Import/Export
To enable vendor product import export you will need to go to WC Vendors > Settings > Capabilities – General. We provide the option to enable import and export independently of each other. So you can allow vendors to import products, export products, or both.
Vendor Dashboard
Once you have enabled these settings, vendors will have new options on their product screen on the vendor dashboard.
