How To Debug Licensing Issues

Sometimes you might have an issue with your license key when trying to activate the plugin. You can use the following common known issues to resolve your licensing issue. 

What is the license for? 

Our licensing system provides two purposes. 

  • Confirm your access to premium support
  • Provide automatic updates for the plugins 

Do I need to activate the license to start using WC Vendors Pro? 

No, you don’t need to activate the license. We do not restrict the functionality of the plugin if the license is not activated.

The error message says my license has expired but it isn’t

If your license has been recently purchased and not expired but you are getting a message you have, this could be because your web server is unable to contact ours. In some installations, this will provide a false positive saying the license has expired. 

HTTP Error: cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10001 milliseconds

This error means that your hosting provider is unable to contact our server wcvendors.com. You will need to contact your hosting provider and ask them if they are blocking access to this domain or our servers IP. 

Max Activations Reach 

There is a possibility that our license server will register that you have already reached your maximum activations.

To force deactivation, log in to your my-account page on our website and deactivate your license key from the downloads screen.

If this does not work, contact support, and we will deactivate the license from our end for you.
